Clear ownership protects everyone. Here is how rights transfer across an engagement.
All design assets, source code and deliverables remain the property of The Creativity Lab until the relevant invoices are paid in full.
Upon full payment, ownership of the final, project-specific design assets and custom source code transfers to the client, as defined in the statement of work.
Pre-existing frameworks, libraries, components and internal tooling we use to build the work remain our property; the client receives a perpetual licence to use them as part of the delivered project.
Third-party software, fonts, plugins and assets remain under their original licences. The client is responsible for maintaining any required subscriptions or licences after handover.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, we may display delivered work in our portfolio and marketing.
Reselling, redistributing or reusing deliverables outside the agreed scope without a licence is prohibited.
