Sloop Demontage
CaseThe case
Sloop Demontage is a demolition and strip-out company from Purmerend, part of PJ Kaptein Woonsupport. We designed and built the website, added local service pages and a quote assistant, and in October 2026 moved the site to a new name and a new domain.
Our reading of the situation at the start: the old site was a single page, with little explanation per service and no pages for the towns the company works in. The contact form asked for a name, contact details, a service and a free message, not for the details of the job itself.
In October 2026 a name change followed. The old domain had pages in Google and appeared in outside profiles, such as Werkspot and Instagram. A move is where that most easily goes wrong: an old address that ends on an error page costs a visitor's trust and the visibility built up so far.
Dark, calm and direct
The design is graphite with one bright green accent taken from the logo, and uses one typeface, Inter, for headings and text. Every page opens with what the company does for that job and a button to request a quote; that button is also fixed in the header.
A menu in four columns
The menu groups every service in four columns: demolition and strip-out, floor removal, interior demolition and region. A visitor who wants a bathroom removed finds the right page in two clicks.
A firm rule about imagery
The project pages show only the company's own photos. Where no own photo exists yet, the site uses mood images, and those do not pose as finished work. Claims the company could not back up came off the site.
What we did not do
Design the logo: it already existed. We translated it into the header, favicons and share images.
A site with a page per service and per town is what we mean by web design.
- Service
- Design, build and ongoing improvements
- Year
- 2026: live in June, on sloopdemontage.nl since 5 October
- Status
- Live, Dutch and English
- Industry
- Demolition, paving and landscaping
The result
82 of the 82 fixed old addresses redirect with a 301 to their new address.
- 70 pages in the sitemap, submitted to Search Console without errors
- 82 old addresses, each with a 301 to its new address
- 34 service pages: 20 per service and town, 14 for demolition and strip-out
- 2 languages, with 13 English pages beside the Dutch site
82 of the 82 fixed old addresses redirect with a 301 (checked on 19 October 2026). Every enquiry arrives with the service, the answers for that service and any photos, instead of as a loose message.
We do not publish figures on enquiries, visitors or rankings in Google. The new domain has been live since 5 October 2026: that is too short for a comparison we would defend, and we share such figures only with the client's approval.
The solution
From a single page to a site with a page per service, per job and per town.
Four main services
Demolition, paving, landscaping and renovation, each with its own page and frequently asked questions.
Demolition in detail
Fourteen pages for one kind of job each, from removing a bathroom to stripping a commercial unit, with what the job involves and what to arrange beforehand.
Local pages
Twenty pages per service and town, plus a service-area overview that connects them all.
Quote assistant
Four steps: service, project, details and contact, with a review before sending. Each service asks its own questions, and up to five photos can be added, resized by the browser first.
Two emails per enquiry
A notification for the company and a confirmation for the customer, with a reference number, in the visitor's language.
A move without losses
Every known old address redirects with a 301 to the same path on the new domain; the change of address is registered in Search Console.
Technology
Static HTML without a framework
Static, prebuilt pages with its own CSS and a little JavaScript, without a framework or page builder. All content is in the HTML, and fonts are served by the site itself.
One server function for the form
The form runs through one server function on Vercel that sends the email with Resend, checks where the request comes from, accepts only known choices and keeps spam out with a hidden field, a minimum fill-in time and a limit per visitor.
One configuration file
Name, domain and contact details live in one file from which every page, the sitemap and the redirects are built. That made the name change one change.
Measuring with consent
Google Analytics 4 loads only after consent (Consent Mode v2, denied by default). In our own Lighthouse measurement (lab, mobile, 13 October 2026) the homepage scored 96 and the Purmerend demolition page 100 for performance.
Two languages and structured data
Every page has its own canonical, Dutch and English point to each other with hreflang, and business details, services, FAQs and breadcrumbs are schema.org markup.
