The case

A bilingual site, Italian and English, for Malomo, an Italian maker of outdoor furniture.

Home, collections, four category pages, six product pages, an FAQ, a journal with three articles and a contact page. Everything in Italian and English, built from one English source with its own generator.

The site is ready as a preview and is not live yet.

The solution

A catalogue library with its own reader, a chat without a backend and a map of the showroom of its own.

  • Products and collections

Every product and every category has its own page with breadcrumbs, related products and structured data. Prices are on request.

  • Catalogue library

Catalogues open in a reader in the page, which loads only the pages you look at.

  • Chat without a backend

Fixed advice routes built from the site's own content, and a hand-over to a phone call or the contact form.

  • A showroom map of its own

A map drawn from OpenStreetMap data instead of an embedded map service; the directions button opens Google Maps or Apple Maps.

Technology

  • Static, without a framework

Its own Node generator, vanilla JavaScript, Lenis scrolling, View Transitions and PDF.js, on Vercel.
